Independent Investigations and Fact Finding - The Process

How?

The process is simple. We review all preliminary documentation provided in relation to the allegations and or dispute. We identify the relevant personnel and advise that they will be required to attend an interview with the independent investigator.

We make an appointment to visit the workplace and conduct interviews (recorded) with all relevant personnel. These personnel are entitled to bring a support person along to the interview.

The record of the interviews are transcribed, and the interviewees are provided with an opportunity to read (and amend where necessary) the transcriptions.

The investigator then considers all of the evidence and prepares, on the basis of the rules of evidence, a report with respect to the findings of the investigation, and any recommendations.

Charges vary depending upon the number of participants in the investigation, and are in the order of $290 per hour, with associated travel and overnight rates where necessary. Please call us now to obtain a quote.
